ABOUT ME

I have a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering at Arizona State University, graduated in August, 2017. During my Ph.D., I was so lucky to work under the supervision of Professor Andrea W. Richa and collaborate with Professor Christian Scheideler.

My  research focus is on Distributed Computing, Algorithm Design and Optimization, Bio-inspired Algorithms, and Programmable Matter. I am interested in "Algorithmic Foundations of Self-Organizing Particle Systems (SOPS)". 

As one of the studies on SOPS, I have worked on "Smart Paint" problem, which is to design algorithms for coating an object of arbitrary shape and size. Results on this topic have been featured in MIT's Technology Review, as an emerging technology entitled Programmable Material Algorithm Solves Universal Coating Problem, ACM TechNews, ASU Now News. They have also been published in Theoretical Computer Science Journal and very recently in Natural Computing Journal, and some conferences.
